Amazing panoramic View
from the Nariai mountain!

Nariai Panoramic viewing platform is the highest spot from which you can view Amanohashidate. It is located at 500m above sea level on the 569.1merters-high Tsuzumigadake mountain and commands a bird’s‐eye view of the Amanohashidate, Miyazu bay and Aso bay. It is said to be the Best panoramic observatory in Japan, from which you can sometimes see as far as the Noto Peninsula and Hakusan mountain on the sunny day. Noto Peninsula is about 80km away and Haku-san mountain is about 155 km away from panoramic viewing platform in a straight line. Hakusan mountain is one of Three Holy Mountains in Japan (San-rei-zan) along with Fujisan and Tateyama mountain. It’s so wonderful view, please have a look at it once.

How do I get there?

To get there, take the cable or chairlift up to Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park (abt. 4-6 minutes), take the mountain bus there (7-minute ride), arrive at Nariaiji Temple, and walk about 20 minutes (abt. 1.2 km; It’s an enjoyable hiking course). By car, 5 minutes’ drive from the Nariaiji temple parking lot. As you continue up the mountain road, you’ll come across the open place at the end of the road. There is a café only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and national public holidays (it is not run by us). Shuttle bus service between Nariaiji temple and panoramic platform is operated by us for a limited time only. When starting operation, we’ll let you know on this website.
